I once had a conversation with a successful trader working in a local bank. We were discussing the relative contributions of all the workers in the bank at all levels. My point of view was that ALL workers did contribute something to the success of the bank (ergo, they should have a proportionate share of the profits), including the lowest cleaning lady. The trader, full of her own importance, was completely appalled at this idea. From her point of view, a cleaning lady didn't contribute anything. She just cleaned. :(

I think I have found something to illustrate this point in the documentary. In Walt Disney's Mary Poppins, one stanza of the song "Chim-Chiminey" can be used:

Now as the ladder of life
'As been strung
You may think a sweep's
On the bottommost rung

Though I spends me time
In the ashes an smoke
In this 'ole wide world
There's no 'appier bloke

I choose me bristles with pride
Yes, I do
A broom for the shaft
And a brush for the flume
