Alpha : Transparency of the mesh/material

Use the Alpha material IPO curve for the transparency.

How to do the transparency?

Hmmm... I see the alpha slider in the material panel, but it doesn't work.

I applied the material of the male body to a cube, and managed to have a transparency effect.
However, when I try with the male himself, transparency doesn't work.
