In the first one (Blender_Majestic (Armature test)), I like the shadow effects in the haze.
I just asked the question here: http://blenderartists.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=30
The answer is here: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Manual/Volumetric_Halos
Well, even with a simple cube scene, I am not able to reproduce the volumetric shadows.
Here is another fine tutorial about creating volumetric shadows under water. It's not exactly what I need, though. http://www.dnapixels.com/Tutorials/Underwater_Caustics_and_Volumetric_Li...

TODO: try this advice from Mathieu/Clémentine:
One solution would be to add a plane in front of the camera and apply a cloud texture to this plane. Then, animate this texture by key framing the offset, or with an Empty (Map Input: Object>Empty).
